Steve Wilkens

Steve Wilkens was born and grew up locally in Tallahassee, Florida. He is a soccer enthusiast and has actively played for more than 25 years. He is a member of Tallahassee Soccer Association (TSA) and Captain of The Shooters, a Super Six Soccer team.

Steve is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and International fitness Professional association (IFPA). He has competed in three amateur bodybuilding shows and won Mr. Florida Bantamweight in 2003. He enjoys helping others, being involved in fundraisers, and healthy competitions.

Jennifer Henderson, originally from Plantation, FL, considers Tallahassee her second home. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from Florida State University. Jennifer is an AFFA certified personal trainer. Prior to her employment with BodyTrac, Jennifer worked at Tallahassee Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy (TOSPT) as their fitness director. Her work at TOSPT, enabled Jennifer to expand her fitness background in the rehabilitation setting and develop new perspectives in achieving their individual goals. She loves helping individuals realize their potential and getting them to their optimal fitness. In her spare time, Jennifer plays softball, but is a willing spectator of all sports; especially Florida State athletics. Jennifer loves spending time with her family. So much so she has encouraged both her parents to become members of BodyTrac. Her two nieces keep her busy with soccer, cheerleading and friend gossip. She is very close to her two older sisters and is grateful for their insight and encouragement. Jenniferís faith allows her to believe that what the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

Justin Matousek went to high school in Lakeland Florida before moving to Tallahassee in 2002. He graduated from Florida State with a degree in Exercise Science; Fitness and Nutrition. Soon after he earned his ACSM Health and Fitness Specialist certification and went to work for a sports performance facility training amateur athletes. After gaining three years of experience in sports specific training, he became a licensed and insured personal trainer through the IDEA fitness institute and went to work as a independent contractor in a functional fitness post-rehab setting. He has maintained his certifications for over three years and earned over 70 continued education credits. He loves helping people improve their performance and quality of life.
Justin is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys any activity that presents a physical challenge. He is a life-long Basketball player and coached a local high school boys’ team last year. He fell in love with his wife Natalie while at FSU and they now have two sons Maddox and Mayson.

Kelsey Carter was born and raised in Winter Haven, Florida. She grew up involved in many activities and sports including gymnastics, dance, soccer, softball, and cheerleading. She fell in love with cheerleading and was a competitive cheerleader for 13 years. She moved to Tallahassee in the fall of 2008 to attend Florida State University. Originally, she intended to major in Fashion Merchandising, but changed her major to Exercise Science her sophomore year after realizing that she wanted to pursue a career path in which she could help others. She is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certified personal trainer and enjoys working with individuals to excel and achieve their goals.

Elliot Jersey Clayton

Elliot "Jersey" Clayton

Elliot Clayton, better known as Jersey, has worked at Tallahassee Community College in Health Sciences and as a (NFPT) certified trainer in the Lifetime Sports fitness program. He participated in a Mission-on-Medicine trip to China in 2004 gave Jersey an appreciation for a holistic health & wellness lifestyle. Jersey was promoted to the Wellness Program coordinator in 2004, obtained AFAA PT certification, became Strength & Condition coach for TCC Woman's Basketball & TCC National Champion Cheerleaders. Jersey developed the campus wellness program to include training & aerobics for all faculty/staff/students with an ADA component for special population needs.

In 2005, Jersey matriculated to the Florida State University School of Human Sciences Exercise Science program. A 2007 promotion led to the TCC Campus Recreation supervisor position responsible for all fitness, wellness & recreation activities on campus while also teaching aerobics classes like advanced Body Sculpt, Ab-obsession, Spin & Sculpt & Weight Training 101. Elliott is also an education instructor for National Fitness Trainer Association (NFTA) teaching nutrition, exercise physiology, anatomy & weight room protocol to aspiring personal trainers. Elliott brings 10 years of personal training experience, avid love for fitness & a desire to help other reach their fitness goals in a positive and educated manner.

Matthew Sharp
Personal Trainer

Matthew Sharp grew up in Wakulla County and went to WHS where he first discovered weight training as a valuable asset to improve athletic performance. Not long after, weight training and fitness became Matthew's niche, making him eager to learn more. Ultimately, his interests lead him to attain a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University in 2011. As an undergraduate, Matthew assisted reach in the Exercise Physiology Department studying neural adaptation to strength training in untrained individuals. Matthew is a member of Organized Competitive Bodybuilding and he hopes to participate in his first competition in 2012. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys educating others on health and fitness, family & fellowship, sports and the outdoors. Before setting a new goal, Matthew embraces the philosophy that "mental preparation comes before anything physical."
